Tomorrow is Coming
We cannot foresee the future, but we know it is coming. We do not know what is coming, that is why t we must plan as best we can for it.
Let’s face it, none of us can possibly be 100% ready for the unexpected, and it is unlikely to have all potential risks covered regardless of the size of your business. However, our business plans must take basic mitigation into consideration, as some factors are common across any event. The security of, and access to our data, communication with our clients and service partners should be paramount and feature prominently in our overall strategy.
Anyone who has spoken to me recently has heard this (possibly several times … sorry guys) but it was a great validation to hear one of the cornerstone personalities in the technology realm say that we are seeing a significant change in our utilization of technology, and that it should not have taken a situation like this to move us forward.
“Evolutionary” is a word I too have uttered a few times myself in the past month or so. The technology is there, it is mature, and it is accessible. We must all leverage it to some degree in our businesses and make that investment and effort to overcome the unexpected challenges we will inevitably face.
