So you’re planning a vacation in Barbados and want to live like a local. De Hut in Six Men’s Village is as authentic ‘bajan’ as it gets.
This chattel styled house is fully furnished with two air-conditioned bedrooms, one bathroom, open floor plan living and dining rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Suitable for family trips or a get away with friends, the cottage comfortably sleeps four with one queen and two single beds. Extended stays and long term rentals are welcome.
Getting around the island is easy from Six Men’s Village, we can arrange car rental for you, just remember we drive on the left and there is parking on the premises. Several bus routes also pass just down the street and run along the main roadways in both directions.
The Village
Located in the northern parish of Saint Peter, Six Men’s is a traditional fishing village putting it in walking distance of several beaches for relaxing, sunbathing and swimming. The area’s fish market is known as a popular spot for fresh seafood. Port Ferdinand and Port St Charles the island’s two marinas are quite literally next door. Historic Speightstown the nearest official town and commercial center is nearby, directly south along the main roadway which will also take you on to Holetown and our capital Bridgetown. You’ll never be more than a relatively short drive away from activities, shopping, dining and night life.
